Gasoline Now More Expensive Than Heroin
That was one of the news headlines that appeared when I checked my email earlier. The rest of the story below in bold:
"According to a recently published study, this revealing news marks the first time that it actually makes sound economic sense to be a heroin addict."
In a way its true. Have you noticed though that ever since Shop 'N' Save, Giant Eagle, Martin's, Foodland and a lot of other stores introduced that fuel perks system that gas prices have sharply increased. And if you take in consideration that every time President Bush goes and asks the Saudi Arabians for help the prices per barrel skyrockets also. To start out around $27 a barrel when he first took office, now its over $130. Sometimes it might be better if he kept his mouth shut.
I do agree with some people who are calling for the government to set a mandated price for gas. Though I do hope they do it before the prices get to outta control. In other countries people pay $8 a gallon, personally once the price hits around $5 a gallon (probably sometime this summer) I'll be looking into the F.A.C.T. Bus for a ride to work, or just giving up altogether since more and more of the paycheck is gonna go torwards trying to get to and from work.
