I'm trying to give you the life that I never had
People say "I'm trying to give you the life that I never had".
Sometimes I think that phrase is used way out of context. I know that some people didnt have alot when they were growing up or their parents weren't always around or other things. But if you always put work over family then I really don't think you're helping that much. Are you? Yeah you can buy them things that you didn't have growing up or buy things that you always wanted. But when you look at it all, what are those things? After being away for awhile, you kinda put yourself out of the picture. Sure your kids might have the latest in video game systems, a giant pool that they can have parties in, but where are the important things? Such as the love of your family. I think people are taking that for granted. For some people tomorrow may never come, but thats ok because you can play Grand Theft AUto 4 or now you can rent a shuttle and fly to the moon.
Either way I don't have any remedies for this. I just think that people should look at what they have, not what they don't.
Just wanted to put my opinion out there.
